Uzair Merchant is an alumnus of Nottingham Trent University and the New York Film Academy. Fondly known as "Uzi," he's a global soul, with Indian roots, who has embraced the vibrant landscapes of Dubai, London, New York, and now calls Vancouver, Canada, home.

Uzair's work has graced the pages of esteemed publications worldwide, including Rolling Stones, Times of India, Gulf News, Khaleej Times, Urban Asian, and Broadcast Pro Middle East.

As the founder of bKREATIV Productions and The Kreativ Lab in Vancouver, Uzair is crafting a unique multi-franchise universe, 'The Kreativ Universe,' which currently hosts 16 distinct characters in the 'Kri8verse.' This culturally diverse platform blends original content IPs, bridging traditional cinema with the dynamic world of web3, allowing regions like the Middle East to merge the enchanting worlds of Hollywood and Bollywood.

One of India’s first production designers in Hollywood

His illustrious career includes involvement in iconic projects, ranging from feature films to TV shows like Superman and Lois (Season 1 and 2), The Misfits starring Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth, Deadpool 2, Star Trek Beyond, Fast and Furious 7, and Skyfall (007).

His creative imprint extends to the visual storytelling of Global Village, the world's largest cultural theme park in Dubai, where he contributed for over a decade. His innovative designs, including pavilions representing 12 countries and connecting bridges, earned the 'Best Pavilion Award.'

In 2020, Uzair's prowess in storytelling shone brightly as he secured six international screenplay awards for his latest TV series, "Black Rose," now transformed into a captivating Graphic Novel. Additionally, his feature script, 'The 8th Sin,' received an honorable mention for Best Sci-Fi script at the Los Angeles Film Awards in 2019 and has been released as a Graphic Novel in 2023, dazzling readers with its imaginative narrative.

With a remarkable collection of over 40 awards, Uzair is a versatile talent, excelling as a Director, Producer, and Production Designer. He's the visionary force behind "Stardust," Canada's first security NFT, a project adorned with an impressive tally of 13 international awards.

The 8th Sin is a Multi Dimensional project that Explores the Uncharted World of Immortality through Music and AI. Launching the book, soundtrack, and music video. Featuring a mesmerising blend of Arabic and Bollywood musical elements, fused with contemporary hip-hop beats, this soundtrack ignites a whole new era of music.This innovative project is bringing together Arab artists and Bollywood talents for a unique collaboration, all produced in Vancouver by bKREATIV productions and KRi8LABS.

His experience transcends the silver screen, extending to the world of international commercials and collaborations with the BBC, Sesame Street, and over 50 international commercials (Cadillac, McDonalds, 7Up, UAE Expo Film 2015, VW, Dubai Civil Aviation, etc).

Uzair has worked with numerous small businesses and start ups in various countries such as Dubai, Mumbai and Vancouver, Canada to help build creative strategy, marketing and help boost brand value for those companies.
